The Check-In

Welcome to THE CHECK-IN, where you can get a sneak peek into my writing progress every week! Read on to find out what I’m working on and how things are progressing in my world.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • Lonely is the Night – SO. FREAKIN. CLOSE. But I had some family obligations over the last week and this is the draft that would not finish. I figure I have maybe 4k or so left. I need a good writing day or two and this sucker is done. I vow it! On the life of my characters, I vow it!

I’m really looking forward to putting Lonely is the Night away for a while. Not just because I’ll have the satisfaction of finishing another first draft (which should not be discounted – it’ll feel fantastic) but because I really, really want to get back to Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch… I was talking about the new project with a few folks over the weekend and it just got me excited about it all over again. But I’ve got to get book three done, it’s already been delay after delay. But I know I will triumph!

LESSON OF THE WEEK: IT AIN’T OVER TIL IT’S OVER.
